Our culture is forever taking the sexuality issues to extremes. In the midst of bombardment to those themes comes a relevant slant to sex from the one Who Created it. God's Word is very candid and vivid on this issue. In the silence of the church on this topic, many are left wondering and confused. We will be looking at the topic with truth and a freshness that should bring help to anyone, no matter your present situation. During the month of August, some of our weekly titles will be Girls Gone Wild, X-Rated Relationships, Porn Stars of the Bible, Can I buy a Vow and Prostitutional Marriage. We provide a place for those 5th grade on down as we deal with this sensitive matter during all services.

And as the Church stands together during the One Prayer series, we will each discover the power, significance and potential that one prayer has to change the world and our individual's lives as well.

Joshua chapter 10 tells of an account of an awe-inspiring, bonified biblical, cosmic circumstance of God's control over His creation. He had missed up and not inquired about a treat the Israelites signed with the Gibeonites. The mistake turned out to be an avenue to show God's way to provide Joshua an answer to his prayer in the form of a miracle. The Sun Stood Still for a full day. Do you need the Sun to stand still in your marriage, your finances, and your work? Your messes could be an avenue to a major miracle, join us this Sunday.

Since 1990 House of Hope of the Pee Dee has been committed to helping the homeless. This non-denominational ministry, originally directed toward homeless men, believes that life change can only take place with the renewing of mind and spirit made possible through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Seeking to glorify God, House of Hope of the Pee Dee provides food, shelter and clothing to the homeless of the Greater Pee Dee area, offering them the hope and peace of Christ through Christian witness and support. To that end, House of Hope of the Pee Dee provides an atmosphere of Christian compassion within a framework of genuine, practical application for independent living and spiritual renewal.

A New Beginning... - Our History

On August 8, 2004, Bryan Chapman began meeting with a group of friends to explain a vision for a new church in the Pee Dee area. This vision consisted of launching a church that would be creative, relevant, and innovative in its approach to sharing the love of Jesus Christ to people who are not actively involved in an existing church. Many others of those who come to us now have been hurt, wounded or turn off by people in a church. Another, amazing fact is that 60 % of the people you see your first Sunday was not in any church 2 years ago.

After 4 weeks of explaining what the new church would be about, a launch team was formed and began meeting on September 11, 2004. This first meeting was dedicated to remembering the events of September 11, 2001 and committing to the hope that carried our nation through such a great tragedy. Our desire is to spread the love of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible in our community.

In January 2005, God provided us with a very unique setting for our church launch in the form of a local movie theater. We are the first church in our area to meet in a movie theater.

Being in a movie theater, we decided to hold previews of our upcoming feature presentation. On February 20, 2005, we held the first of three "Preview" Services at the Julia 4 Value Cinemas in Florence, SC. The other two "Preview" services were held on March 6 and March 20.

Our official Launch Date was Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005. Services are now being held every Sunday morning.

32 Life changes have been expressed in Baptism have occurred already in 2008, Go God!

Something different has started in the Pee Dee! Come experience the love of Christ by being our guest!!

Prayer Requests / Praise Reports - Prayer Team

We hope and believe that at some point in your life you have experienced the blessings of prayer and that this has encouraged you to develop your life of prayer.

Prayer is an exciting component of being a Christ Follower and it includes interceding for the concerns that affect us as individuals. Isaiah 61:1-5 encourages us as a fellowship to minister to those who are hurting emotionally, spiritually, or physically. It is our desire at Pee Dee Community Fellowship to pray for those who are in such a crisis.

Prayer is also a great way to express our gratitude and thanks for the blessings that God has given us. Psalm 105:1 encourages us to thank God and share with others what He has done. We at Pee Dee Community Fellowship want to share your joys in what God has done.

If you have a prayer request or a praise report, please click the link below and fill out the form provided. You may submit a form anonymously, however, please consider providing as much information as possible. Be assured that whatever information you provide will be handled in a confidential manner. Thank you for allowing us to share your concerns and joys before the Lord!

"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." - Philippians 2:4

We are excited about our sponsorship of the Bee Helpful afterschool program. We provide discounts and help to those that attend. We gave out $33,425 last year to help others. Our "Homework Done" promise is being copied around the area. With our 4 buses we are able to take all the kids on trips not just certain ages at certain times, what a blessing. We enjoy our relationship with the ABC department of DSS to give a Christ-Centered haven for all God's children. Our vision of serving Pamplico and Florence schools is exceeding our expectations monthly. We serve a couple of private schools and 10 public schools with a fun place to be. God is truly at work!

Community Connection is a purposeful pursuit of PDCF. We wish to put the Pee Dee as our local area of service. This will be a growing area as future partnerships are established. A few people on occasion ask us when are we are building a church. Our response is simple~ we are the church. For a church only a few years old, we have no desire to put monetary pressure on people to building a multi-million dollar facility. 60% of those who come to our church presently were not in church 2 or more years ago. The Julia 4 is our site that we rent to follow along with our vision of focusing on people and the community in which we live. The free movie night we sponsor once a month at the Julia 4 is a desire to provide families a free night of fun. No sermons, no donations, no strings just a planned act of kindness to the community of the PEE DEE

Why we are here... - Our Mission

Our Mission

"What has God called us to accomplish?"

Pee Dee Community Fellowship exists to help as many people as possible live life to the fullest through Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose

"Why do we do what we do?"

THE PURPOSE OF OUR FELLOWSHIP IS TO REACH UP TO GOD, REACH AROUND TO OTHERS, REACH IN TO GROW OURSELVES, AND REACH OUT TO SHARE CHRIST'S LOVE.

The Great Commandment
"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'" Matthew 22:36-40

The Great Commission
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" Matthew 28:19-20

REACH UP
To celebrate God's presence! - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart..."

REACH AROUND
To demonstrate God's love! - "Love your neighbor as yourself."

REACH IN
To instruct God's people! - "...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

REACH OUT
To grow God's family! - "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."

MEN 4 HIM is the name that will be for men getting a chance to be encouraged during the middle of the week. It means (4 Helping Ignite Men). Truly, I have seen many men miss the mark on their journeys. Our group time happens each Wednesday at 6:15 AM (that is in the morning.) We will be meeting together for a time of encouragement from God's Word. I'm looking forward to connecting with our men in this mid-week moment. Everything we do is 4 HIM.

Cozy Coupes (Birth-2 Years)
Teachers care for the children in loving ways that help them develop their first understanding of God's love for them. The area is divided between walkers and crawlers. Children are placed in the room appropriate for their individual stage of development.

Power Wheels (3k-5k)
We use developmentally-appropriate teaching, which provides the opportunity for children to learn about God and His love for them. This also allows them to explore the world He created and learn the basics of relationships. Using visual aids, story books and puppets, we teach children Bible lessons to which they can relate. Hands-on activities are used during small groups to help the children apply the lesson to their lives.

Go Carts (1st-5th Grade)
This is an exciting ministry with dramas, music and relevant teaching. Each week, the Bible story is told in a creative, thrilling way through cool music, creative videos, object lessons and drama.

At Pee Dee Community Fellowship, we describe people who have made a commitment to grow in a personal relationship as a "Christ Follower." We believe this term allows us to convey the meaning that a person is dedicated to learning and following the teachings of Jesus Christ, easier than using the term "Christian" that may (or may not) be more familiar to you.

Being a Christ Follower is a process that challenges and rewards you each and every day. If you're looking for answers to life's tough questions, Jesus Christ has what you're looking for.

The best part about becoming a Christ Follower is that it's easy and it's free!

Click here to find out how!

If you have any questions that you would like us to help answer or if you have made a decision to become a Christ Follower, send us an email. We want to celebrate with you and help you discover how to live your life to the fullest through your relationship with Jesus Christ!

What is the style of music at Pee Dee Community Fellowship? - FAQ's

The music we use is relevant to the culture in which we live. Just as hymns were used in the 1800s to bring people to the church, so do today's new songs. We sing what we call "heart songs". Just as hymns sing about God - we sing to God. There are no such things as Christian songs...only Christian lyrics. We at PDCF will use all types of music from Country to Top 40, based upon the lyrics that have spiritual meaning. The music on Sunday morning will always be exciting, uplifting and relevant for the times in which we live.

Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. ~ Psalm 96:1 (NIV)

Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. ~ Psalm 33:33 (NIV)

Uniting with the vision of PDCF involves running The R.A.C.E.

The first step we encourage our guests to take is engaging in an informal gathering called "Chat With The Chapmans." This is a time when you can meet some of our Leadership Team and talk with us.

You can easily unite with the vision of PDCF - or just find out more about us - in a special information time called "Purpose (Turn 1)."

We do encourage people to bring Bibles to the service, but many of the people who are attending PDCF have never been to church or do not own a Bible. We provide all Scripture references on a message outline and projected screens during the service. We also give away free Bibles in the lobby for those who need them.

Introduction to our Statement of Faith - Our Unity in Beliefs

We teach and preach from the Holy Bible and our STATEMENT OF FAITH is based on these Holy Scriptures. We believe that the Bible is relevant to today's problems and to the needs of individuals. Therefore, we offer preaching that is Biblical and relevant to real life situations.

IN ESSENTIAL BELIEFS – WE HAVE UNITY.
"There is one Body and one Spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all..." Ephesians 4:4-6

IN NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS – WE HAVE LIBERTY.
"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters...Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls...So then each of us will give an account of himself to God...So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God." Romans 14:1,4,12,22

IN ALL OUR BELIEFS – WE SHOW LOVE.
"...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains – but have no love, I amount to nothing at all." I Corinthians 13:2

• God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.

• The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living.

• Jesus is God showing himself to us.

• Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.

• Nothing in creation "just happened." God made it all.

• Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.

• Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.

• God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice. God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose to become Christ followers.

• Heaven and Hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end.

• The church exists to serve people like Jesus served people.

• Jesus is coming again.

What is the dress code at Pee Dee Community Fellowship? - FAQ's

PDCF's dress code is casual. Surveys revealed that people did not attend church because formal attire is required. We found there is no Biblical reason you should dress formally for services and decided to eliminate this reason for not attending.

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." ~ 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

God is the Creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:26-27
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 3:22
And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,...

1 Peter 1:2
...who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

I. WHY BE BAPTIZED? 1. Because you want to follow Christ's example."At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan." Mark 1:9 2. Because Christ commanded it. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 3. Because it shows you are a believer."...and many of the Corinthians who heard him believed and were baptized." Acts 18:8 4. Because obeying Christ's command shows you know Him. "We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands." 1 John 2:3 II. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF BAPTISM? 1. It is a symbol of Christ's burial and resurrection."...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:3,4 "..having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead." Colossians 2:12 2. It is a symbol of your new life as a Christ Follower."Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." Romans 6:4 Baptism does not make you a believer, it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring – it's the outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart."For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8,9 III. HOW ARE WE TO BE BAPTIZED?1. Like Jesus was baptized – by being immersed in water. "As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water..." Matthew 3:16 2. Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion under water. (Example) "...Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing." Acts 8:38,39 3. The word "Baptize" literally means "to dip under water. The Greek word "baptizo" means to immerse or dip under water. 4. It is the best way to picture a burial and resurrection. The founders of denominations agree: Martin Luther... "I would have those who are to be baptized to be entirely immersed, as the word imports and the mystery signifies." John Calvin... "The word 'baptize' signifies to immerse. It is certain that immersion was the practice of the ancient church." John Wesley... "Buried with Him, alluding to baptizing by immersion according to the custom of the first church." IV. WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED? 1. Every person who has made the decision to believe in Christ. "Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day." Acts 2:41 "But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women." Acts 8:12 "Simon himself believed and was baptized..." Acts 8:13 2. The one requirement for baptism is belief in Christ! We do not baptize children until they are old enough to understand and believe. V. WHEN ARE WE TO BE BAPTIZED? 1. As soon as you have believed! You shouldn't delay. "Those who accepted his message were baptized,...that day!" Acts 2:41 "As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him." Acts 8:36-382. There is no reason to delay. As soon as a person decides to believe in Christ, he can and should be baptized.VI. CAN MY FAMILY BE BAPTIZED TOGETHER? Yes! If each family member understands fully the meaning of baptism, and each one has personally placed his/her trust in Christ for salvation, we encourage families to be baptized at the same time. It is a wonderful expression of commitment. VII. WILL I HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING?No. At the beginning of the baptism service, the pastor will briefly explain the meaning of baptism. You will wait at the edge of the water for your turn to be baptized. The pastor will introduce you, briefly lower you just under the water, and then you will leave the water, dry off, and watch with the others. GOD WILL BLESS YOU AS YOU DEMONSTRATE YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST!

What we believe about eternal security... - About Eternal Security

Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in the salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christ Follower. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.John 10:29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 2 Timothy 1:12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. Hebrews 7:25Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 10:10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:14..because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.1 Peter 1:3-5Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Home Teams - How Can I Connect?

Instead of meeting all together at one location for worship on Sunday nights, we meet in small groups that we call Home Teams at various homes and locations throughout the Pee Dee (some groups might meet during the week). These groups are "churches within the church," offering more interaction, time for relationship building, and a deeper Bible study. Home Teams were even practiced by the first Christ Followers as described in the book of Acts! Home Teams are created around common interests such as parenting, hobbies, and different stages of life. Within a home team, you will find some things that you might not be able to get on Sunday mornings: new friends, a strong support system, and further fulfillment of life in Christ. You can grow spiritually in a comfortable and non-threatening environment and learn to help others in and outside of the group in various ways. And, at the very least, you'll enjoy good food and lots of fun! Check out our Top 10 Reasons to Join a Home Team and Family Values of Home Teams for more information.Use the "Find A Way to Connect" feature to check out what Home Teams are available. Just click on the "Find A Way to Connect" link at the top of this screen and then change the "Type of Group" selection box to "Home Team." Click "Search" to see a list of all Home Teams. We would love for you to check us out!
