Can you recall some life lessons from a close friend, a memorable coach or a wise parent? Life lessons are those things that make lasting effects on our direction, our pursuits and the character of our lives. So many times in our busyness we never get those epic experiences being expressed in our everyday. The month of May can be the month for you to encounter the Life Lessons of our Lord; leading you from the Looney Loops you are living to a new Lane in His Love.Swine Flew (May 2, 2010) Listen Now

What are you following or maybe who are your following? How many friends do you have in your facebook and myspace accounts? Are you a tweeter yet? If so, whom are you getting instantaneous updates on? Our world is just a slight different in our instant message moments and in the growing number of homes with no Home phone anymore. Christ wants us all to be a follower of Him. In the big scheme of our dilemmas and dramas how we encounter Christ is critical. We hope you are in search of something worth following and make your way to the Julia 4 in Florence. The Power of Resurrection (April 4, 2010) Listen Now

We all have many issues of the Heart. You need to go with your Heart. What is your Heart telling you to do? We use the place of the Heart as a central part of our person. It is the life-line in the sense that if the heart stops we are flat lined and after so long we are pronounced dead. The blood that flows through our heart, pumping and transporting vital properties throughout our person is very important. The words written in Red in the Bible means they are words spoken by Christ. May you join us for the Gospel 'Good News' Journey from Matthew.

Why we are here... - Our Mission

Our Mission

"What has God called us to accomplish?"

Pee Dee Community Fellowship exists to help as many people as possible live life to the fullest through Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose

"Why do we do what we do?"

THE PURPOSE OF OUR FELLOWSHIP IS TO REACH UP TO GOD, REACH AROUND TO OTHERS, REACH IN TO GROW OURSELVES, AND REACH OUT TO SHARE CHRIST'S LOVE.

The Great Commandment
"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'" Matthew 22:36-40

The Great Commission
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'" Matthew 28:19-20

REACH UP
To celebrate God's presence! - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart..."

REACH AROUND
To grow God's family! - "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."

REACH IN
To instruct God's people! - "...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

REACH OUT
To demonstrate God's love! - "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Did you know that handling of money is mentioned approximately 4 times (over 2,000 times) as much as any other issue in the Bible? This helps us to see that giving is one of the central themes in the Bible. Jesus talked more about this subject than heaven, hell or prayer (around 500 times each). To understand what it means to be a Christ Follower, we must also understand what it means to be a giver. Scroll down to read more about what the Bible says about giving.

Use the following buttons to make a secure gift using your bank or credit card. (Visa or MasterCard)

We thank you and welcome your gift, but we ask you not to use a credit card if it will increase your personal debt.

Since 1990 House of Hope of the Pee Dee has been committed to helping the homeless. This non-denominational ministry, originally directed toward homeless men, believes that life change can only take place with the renewing of mind and spirit made possible through the grace of Jesus Christ.

Seeking to glorify God, House of Hope of the Pee Dee provides food, shelter and clothing to the homeless of the Greater Pee Dee area, offering them the hope and peace of Christ through Christian witness and support. To that end, House of Hope of the Pee Dee provides an atmosphere of Christian compassion within a framework of genuine, practical application for independent living and spiritual renewal.

We are excited about our sponsorship of the Bee Helpful afterschool program. We provide discounts and help to those that attend. We gave over $54,000 last year to help others. Our "Homework Done" promise is being copied around the area. With our 4 buses we are able to take all the kids on trips not just certain ages at certain times, what a blessing. We enjoy our relationship with the ABC department of DSS to give a Christ-Centered haven for all God's children. Our vision of serving Pamplico and Florence schools is exceeding our expectations monthly. We serve a couple of private schools and 10 public schools with a fun place to be. God is truly at work!

Conceived and started by Jim and Billie Hardee of Darlington, South Carolina, BHHB has grown from a local shelter for abused children to serve the specific needs of boys from across the entire state. This is a great place not far from us or our hearts. The staff are gifted and amazing in handling the critical care of young men in need.

Community Connection is a purposeful pursuit of PDCF. We wish to put the Pee Dee as our local area of service. This will be a growing area as future partnerships are established. A few people on occasion ask us when are we are building a church. Our response is simple~ we are the church. For a church only a few years old, we have no desire to put monetary pressure on people to building a multi-million dollar facility. 60% of those who come to our church presently were not in church 2 or more years ago. The Julia 4 is our site that we rent to follow along with our vision of focusing on people and the community in which we live. The free movie night we sponsor once a month at the Julia 4 is a desire to provide families a free night of fun. No sermons, no donations, no strings just a planned act of kindness to the community of the PEE DEE

At Pee Dee Community Fellowship, we describe people who have made a commitment to grow in a personal relationship as a "Christ Follower." We believe this term allows us to convey the meaning that a person is dedicated to learning and following the teachings of Jesus Christ, easier than using the term "Christian" that may (or may not) be more familiar to you.

Being a Christ Follower is a process that challenges and rewards you each and every day. If you're looking for answers to life's tough questions, Jesus Christ has what you're looking for.

We are created as eternal beings. How you respond to the teachings of Jesus Christ will determine your eternal future. Becoming a Christ Follower is easy and it's free!

Click here to find out how!

If you have any questions that you would like us to help answer or if you have made a decision to become a Christ Follower, send us an email. We want to celebrate with you and help you discover how to live your life to the fullest through your relationship with Jesus Christ!

R eveal... A cquire... C hallenge... E mpower

The R.A.C.E. is a series of turns that we offer to help you get on track to fulfill God's purpose for your life. At each turn, we Reveal an aspect of Christ and being a Christ Follower, help you Acquire knowledge to allow you to grow spiritually in that aspect, Challenge you to make a commitment to grow spiritually, and Empower you with helpful skills/resources that can be used to accomplish the challenge.

You first get on the track at the Start Line by giving God the keys to your life. Our Start Line is called New Beginnings.

New Beginnings helps people who are new Christ Followers or just want to get more information about becoming a Christ Follower.
In New Beginnings you will discover . . .
     • The dynamics of forgiveness and receiving God's pardon
     • The dynamics of life change and believing in God's Son

What we believe about the Bible... - About the Bible

The Bible is God's Word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,...

2 Peter 1:20-21
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:13
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:160
All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

Psalm 12:6
And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.

Psalm 18:30
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

What we believe about the Holy Spirit... - About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christ Follower from the moment of decision to trust Jesus Christ by faith. He provides the Christ Follower with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christ Follwer seeks to live under His control daily.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

John 16:7-13
But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Acts 1:8
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

1 Corinthians 2:12
We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Ephesians 1:13
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,...

Galatians 5:25
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:1
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

What we believe about Jesus Christ... - About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Matthew 1:22-23
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

John 4:10-30
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."

"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."

He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."

"I have no husband," she replied.

Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."

"Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."

Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."
Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"

Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?" They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,...

Romans 1:3-4
...regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 1:9-11
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

1 Timothy 6:14-15
...to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,...

Titus 2:13
...while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,...

Introduction to our Statement of Faith - Our Unity in Beliefs

We teach from the Holy Bible and our STATEMENT OF FAITH is based on these Holy Scriptures. We believe that the Bible is relevant to today's problems and to the needs of individuals. Therefore, we offer an environment that is Biblical and relevant to real life situations.

IN ESSENTIAL BELIEFS – WE HAVE UNITY.
"There is one Body and one Spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all..." Ephesians 4:4-6

IN NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS – WE HAVE LIBERTY.
"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters...Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls...So then each of us will give an account of himself to God...So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God." Romans 14:1,4,12,22

IN ALL OUR BELIEFS – WE SHOW LOVE.
"...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains – but have no love, I amount to nothing at all." I Corinthians 13:2

A New Beginning... - Our History

On August 8, 2004, Bryan Chapman began meeting with a group of friends to explain a vision for a new church in the Pee Dee area. This vision consisted of launching a church that would be creative, relevant, and innovative in its approach to sharing the love of Jesus Christ to people who are not actively involved in an existing church. Many of those who come to us now have been hurt, wounded or turned off by people in another church. Another, amazing fact is that 60% of the people you see your first Sunday here was not in any church 2 years ago.

After 4 weeks of explaining what the new church would be about, a launch team was formed and began meeting on September 11, 2004. This first meeting was dedicated to remembering the events of September 11, 2001 and committing to the hope that carried our nation through such a great tragedy. Our desire is to spread the love of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible in our community.

In January 2005, God provided us with a very unique setting for our church launch in the form of a local movie theater. We are the first church in our area to meet in a movie theater.

Being in a movie theater, we decided to hold previews of our upcoming feature presentation. On February 20, 2005, we held the first of three "Preview" Services at the Julia 4 Value Cinemas in Florence, SC. The other two "Preview" services were held on March 6 and March 20.

Our official Launch Date was Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005. Services are now being held every Sunday morning.

32 Life changes were expressed in Baptism in 2008 - Go God! We're excited to experience what He has in store for 2009!!

Something different has started in the Pee Dee! Come experience the love of Christ by being our guest!!

We hope and believe that at some point in your life you have experienced the blessings of prayer and that this has encouraged you to develop your life of prayer.

Prayer is an exciting component of being a Christ Follower and it includes interceding for the concerns that affect us as individuals. Isaiah 61:1-5 encourages us as a fellowship to minister to those who are hurting emotionally, spiritually, or physically. It is our desire at Pee Dee Community Fellowship to pray for those who are in such a crisis.

Prayer is also a great way to express our gratitude and thanks for the blessings that God has given us. Psalm 105:1 encourages us to thank God and share with others what He has done. We at Pee Dee Community Fellowship want to share your joys in what God has done.

If you have a prayer request or a praise report, please click the link below and fill out the form provided. You may submit a form anonymously, however, please consider providing as much information as possible. Be assured that whatever information you provide will be handled in a confidential manner. Thank you for allowing us to share your concerns and joys before the Lord!

Cozy Coupes (Birth-2 Years)
Teachers care for the children in loving ways that help them develop their first understanding of God's love for them. The area is divided between walkers and crawlers. Children are placed in the room appropriate for their individual stage of development.

Power Wheels (3k-5k)
We use developmentally-appropriate teaching, which provides the opportunity for children to learn about God and His love for them. This also allows them to explore the world He created and learn the basics of relationships. Using visual aids, story books and puppets, we teach children Bible lessons to which they can relate. Hands-on activities are used during small groups to help the children apply the lesson to their lives.

Go Carts (1st-5th Grade)
This is an exciting ministry with dramas, music and relevant teaching. Each week, the Bible story is told in a creative, thrilling way through cool music, creative videos, object lessons and drama.

What is the style of music at Pee Dee Community Fellowship? - FAQ's

The music we use is relevant to the culture in which we live. Just as hymns were used in the 1800s to bring people to the church, so do today's new songs. We sing what we call "heart songs". Just as hymns sing about God - we sing to God. There are no such things as Christian songs...only Christian lyrics. We at PDCF will use all types of music from Country to Top 40, based upon the lyrics that have spiritual meaning. The music on Sunday morning will always be exciting, uplifting and relevant for the times in which we live.

Why aren't many people taking their Bibles into the services? - FAQ's

We do encourage people to bring Bibles to the service, but many of the people who are attending PDCF have never been to church or do not own a Bible. We provide all Scripture references on a message outline and projected screens during the service. We also give away free Bibles in the lobby for those who need them.

• God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.

• The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living.

• Jesus is God showing himself to us.

• Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.

• Nothing in creation "just happened." God made it all.

• Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.

• Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.

• God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice. God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose to become Christ followers.

• Heaven and Hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end.

• The church exists to serve people like Jesus served people.

• Jesus is coming again.

All workers go through an application and training process, including reference and background checks, before being allowed to serve in the children's department. No one is allowed to pick up a child without proper ID. If there is an emergency with your child during the service, the last 4 digits of your home phone number will appear on the screen to notify you to come to the children's department.

What is the dress code at Pee Dee Community Fellowship? - FAQ's

PDCF's dress code is casual. Surveys revealed that people did not attend church because formal attire is required. We found there is no Biblical reason you should dress formally for services and decided to eliminate this reason for not attending.

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." ~ 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)

What we believe about God... - About God

God is the Creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:26-27
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 3:22
And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."

Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

Matthew 28:19
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,...

1 Peter 1:2
...who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
